Set off from a disabled parking space on main shopping street. Disappointed when travelling around kilkee because access dips on pavements do not correspond to accesss at opposite side of road. Hence my pavement scooter had to travel on the road in places before I could re access the pavement. Also if there is an access dip or ramp it has to be FLAT. Most mobility scooters will tip over if higher than a couple of inches. That said you cannot beat the beautiful horse shoe beach, scenery , and fresh air here. Great digging sand for kids. Great bars for adults and cafes for young and old.

This was the wrong turn that turned out to be great! We found new friends in the locals and an Amazing bakery called the Pantry! On the outside of the bakery to the left side of the bakery to the back is another door to a "take out" that's a second part of the Pantry that will pack up whatever you'd like to go home.

A quiet little town with a big atmosphere. Like everywhere where there little work there is little people. What makes this a great place is the horse shoe beach but also the kilkee cliffs a place that would definitely give the Cliffs of Moher a run for its money. And it's free. Ó and the cycling is great 😁

Fabolous beach... Good one for a dip or walk on the shore...loads of children and family come over the weekend.... Waves are small so good for the kids to play. lot of jelly fish washed at the shore 🙁 . Clear water u can see the sand...There are lot of jelly fish as well... I was told that the purple/pink ones don't sting...the one with brown stripes do sting but the pain lasts for 30 mins Max (personal experience of my husband 😃). So not very dangerous...... There is parking available.... It's a paid parking. There is toilet available. Have a coffee shop which sells few muffins, crisps and croissant. Few restaurants available but better if you can carry something to eat....... Good for a...

We were here in the middle of heatwave. All was well until we needed a toilet. Only one available and completely on the opposite side of the beach we were on. The toilet was a disgrace. Like something from 1918 instead of 2018. Just could not describe how bad it really was. The local businesses don't like you using their toilets, signs up all over the place telling you that facilities were for customers only. But the beach and local eateries were excellent. Could...
