This place was a pleasant treat to visit. While touring Mallow, my wife and I stumbled upon this "castle" and almost didn't go in because we didn't think it was open due to nobody being around. The old remains allowed for my imagination to run with the story being told by signs on the grounds. It was very peaceful and I loved that everything was so well kept.

We parked in the little car park and didn't expect the playground to be the way it was. It was huge. Lovely walkway also. Went down to the old building then and there was a lovely little coffee stall there with lovely coffee and picnic tables. The only down side was the wind. We were blown away but with the kids having so much fun running around they didn't feel it. But I couldn't get them back out the car so I felt all the cold 🤣 Most definitely highly recommend. It was deceiving when we drove up to the entrance gate we thought there was a barracade and no parking so we paid to park on the street nearby, but when we walked up to the castle gate entrance there was a somewhat hidden sign for a huge parking lot around back.
