Breathtaking! The very first Christian town in Ireland, founded by St Loman in 433! Before st Patrick arrived even. Incredible history and authentic beauty. Be sure to cross the bridge and complete the beautiful trim castle walk.

The Abby itself is stunning, far taller and positioned on even better land than the Norman castle down the way. Truly giving the best portions to god. St Mary, both of them, Jesus’s mom and the mother of his child Magdalene should be honored along with...

An outstanding ruin - apparently the tallest standing medieval structure at 7 stories. It really does tower over you and you can imagine it being a very prominent structure back in its day. Nice spot to take a picnic if that's your thing as it has nice mowed grass areas around it. It's free and a must...
