Stunning location! Great views over the mountains and the lake. Not so great views in the pitch black if you’re trying to see the Milky Way - which I never saw! Lots of people pull over at night at the side of the road and snooze until sunrise. Careful driving up though as the roads are very narrow and there’s deers and badgers about at night and you don’t want to hit them and end up off the road in a ditch. Plenty of space to wander around and get a good viewpoint and, even though there can be plenty of people around most times, you can still feel like you're "alone" in the wilderness a such. You over look GuinnessLake that is privately owned and is surrounded by mountains. It is also a great spot for photos or just sit relax relax and enjoy the view for awhile. It is accessible by car bike or hiking. We did it by bike while biking the Ballinastoe Mountain Bike Trails. We were here in late September during fall.
