Go. Go. Go. This is a five star experience. It is extremely well done and the neighbouring war cemetery is beautifully kept. I just stumbled across this memorial as there's little or no promotion for it but it is one of the best ANZAC memorials I've ever visited. Certainly the immersive digital presentation is impressive, touching and storytelling at its very best. The memorial is a stunning tribute and the final resting place for those ANZAC's that made the last great cavalry charge to win the town of Beer Sheva (Beersheba) during WWI. Apart from a magnificent digitised presentation a highlight for us was chatting with the memorial custodian, Colin from Melbourne. Col is a passionate volunteer who spends his days recounting stories of the charge making your visit a very personal experience. What's also impressive is he knows the background of each man Australia lost that day. And, another thoughtful local has gone to the effort to research each man and pull together dossiers on their lives ensuring these men are long remembered. You can roll through the centre in 40 minutes but if you are as curious as me, and you want to read the dossiers and visit the graves you need at least 2 to 3 hours. Only an hour south of a Tel Aviv, I would highly recommend any Aussies or NZers visit the Beersheba...
