It's a great place to chill and hang out, plenty of shade, parking spaces, good for a family picnic with a cool water reservoir that kids can play in. At around 9:30 people start arriving and you better make a reservation to enter so you can have parking spaces nearby. It cost 24 NIS for an adult You can camp in the area as well But remember that on weekends you will have lots of families coming in. The place is located outside of Jerusalem that means that you are 5 min a way (via car) to Abu Guss where you can find good hummus:)

Great place to cool down in the heat, hike around, and learn some history. This park was established on the Palestinian village of Beit Naquba. Beit Naquba's entire Palestinian population, a few hundred mostly Muslim Arabs, were all expelled by zionist militias. Most buildings were destroyed, but a few homes remain, as well as a large building, and a cemetary that was left mostly intact. A great place to learn about Palestine, while also exploring nature.

Could be a beautiful park however it was super crowded with ultra orthodox and others BBQing filling the air with smoke and disgusting smells, children running around everywhere, heaps of trash dirty diapers literally hell on earth by the population that visits the park. My advice come on the sabbath to avoid the ultra orthodox and or very early and leave when the smoke fills the air.

This is a small park, perfect for a picnic any time of the year. It's stroller friendly, and the bathroom is always clean. Kids love to walk in the stream of Kisalom river, so bring water shoes and a change of clothes. There is a crusader fortress to explore and plenty of space to play and run around, bring a ball! Great for families with small kids.

A charming place, especially during fall foliage season. The Dolev trees are the Israeli version of Maple trees, in the fall the leaves colors are amazing. Combine this set, that seems more fitting to North America or Europe, with the ruins of an old fortress and the disconnect from usual Israeli scenery and you’re destined to feel the charm.

Description
Ein Hemed is a national park and nature reserve in the hills seven kilometres west of modern Jerusalem and some 12 kilometres west of the Old City. It is also known by the Latin name it received from the Crusaders, Aqua Bella, and as Khirbat Iqbalā in Arabic.
