מוזיאון גן המדע ע"ש קלור - מכון דוידסון — Attraction in Rehovot

We visited during a holiday with 9-year-old kids and were truly impressed. Each of the multiple exhibits is dedicated to a different element—such as light, movement, earth, and more—with unique, interactive, and educational activities. It's like a science playground! Among the activities are trampolines, an aquarium, various water features, and many others. We recommend bringing a change of clothes to fully enjoy the water games. The place is well-maintained and organized, with friendly and helpful guides throughout. There are plenty of games and demonstrations included with the entrance ticket, offered throughout the day. We especially enjoyed the scavenger hunt. We also took a class called “Space in Everyday Life” (for an additional fee), which was fantastic. The kids got to activate a toy space probe, and we all learned a lot. Several classes are available on different subjects, so it's highly recommended to book tickets in advance—especially on holiday or weekends—and to reserve spots for the classes. היינו במכון דוידסון לחינוך מדעי ברחובות והחוויה הייתה נהדרת ומומלצת!

קודם כל רכישת כרטיסים מתבצעת בקלות דרך האתר, ומומלץ בחום להיכנס אליו מראש ולבדוק אילו תכניות וסדנאות מתקיימות בכל מפגש – יש מגוון רחב ומרתק. הכניסות מתבצעות במרווחים נוחים של חצי שעה, והמחירים נעים בין 39 ל-68 ₪ בהתאם לגיל ולסטטוס (שימו לב שילדים עד גיל 5 נכנסים ללא עלות!). כדאי גם לבדוק מבצעים דרך מועדונים שונים.

שעות הפעילות בימי חול הן 9:00–14:00, ובשבת 10:00–18:00, אז כדאי להיערך בהתאם. חשוב לדעת שייתכן ובימים גשומים המקום לא פעיל, ולכן מומלץ לבדוק תחזית מזג אוויר. כדאי להביא בגדי החלפה ומגבת לילדים, שכן יש פעילויות מים מהנות במיוחד.

יש חניה מקורה נוחה, ומשם הליכה קצרה של כמה דקות לשער הכניסה. המקום גם סמוך לרכבת ישראל, כך שהגעה בתחבורה ציבורית נוחה מאוד. מי שמגיע ברכב שימו בוייז “מכון דוידסון לחינוך מדעי רחובות”.

בשטח הפארק יש אזור אכילה מרכזי יחסית קרוב ליציאה. השירותים נגישים, נקיים ומתוחזקים היטב. המזנון סביר, גם מבחינת מגוון וגם מבחינת מחירים, ובמתחם יש מקום לשמירת חפצים.

חשוב לשים לב שרוב הפארק אינו מוצל, ולכן בימים חמים כדאי להצטייד בכובעים. המקום מאוד מושקע ומרגיש ממש כמו חו״ל – אפשר להעביר בו כמה שעות טובות בין מתקנים, מתקיימות סדנאות ולמידה חווייתית. בכניסה מקבלים מפה . שימו לב שמתקנים מסוימים יכולים לשעמם את ילדכם תלוי גיל, כך שאפשר להתפצל אם צריך כדי לשמור על עניין אצל הילדים.
