WOW! What a wonderful experience it is to visit the Ayalon Institute! The little-known history of the bravery demonstrated there is inspiring to this day. Unknown to me until my 6th or 7th visit to Israel, I was knocked out by this place. I now visit the Ayalon Institute whenever I visit Israel with a first-timer. The pioneers who made this place are true heros of Israel- the country would not exist without them. The direct effect they had on the creation of this country cannot be overstated. We don't have such opportunities in today's world, except through military service. But I digress...

For anyone interested how a small group of people managed to run an ammunition factory underground without the British noticing during wartime this is truly an interesting experience.

A guide will lead you through the kibuts where the factory was hidden. You will learn the meaning of a giraffe An event suitable for anyone except for people that cannot walk stairs (leading to the underground).

The whole event takes about an hour.

Make sure to check if they have English guides..also the movie was in Hebrew so check upfront.
