Our journey along the Masada Serpent Trail was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we set foot on this trail, it was evident that it's exceptionally well-maintained.
The hike was a testament to nature's beauty and the dedication of those who preserve it. The path was clear, safe, and thoughtfully designed, making our trek a pleasure from start to finish.
But the real reward awaited us at the summit. When we reached the top, the view that unfolded before us was nothing short of astonishing. The vast, sweeping landscapes and the historical significance of Masada created a sense of awe that's hard to put into words.
One convenient feature worth noting is that there is a restroom facility at the top, which adds to the overall comfort of the experience.
The Masada Serpent Trail is a must-visit for any hiking enthusiast or nature lover. It's a testament to both the beauty of the Israeli wilderness and the dedication of those who maintain this trail. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the breathtaking views that await at the top; they will stay with you long after the...
Read moreThe hike takes about 45 minutes to get to the top, and closer to an hour if you stop a couple times along the way. The trail itself is a bit difficult, especially if you're not used to hiking, or are coming early morning at 5 am cause it's tiring. It's pretty steep the whole way up and the majority is big steps for the last portion of the trail. Coming down is much easier and a lot more fun cause it's all downhill. The views from the trail are very nice, just be careful of the big rocks on the path. The trail opens at 5:30 am and the cable car opens at 8 am (February), but it's totally worth the hike to come up and see the sunrise. It's 31 NIS for the trail, and 77 NIS for the cable car per person. I'd highly recommend visiting Masada if you come to visit...
Read moreThe path is exhausting to climb. But it's definitely worth it. The entrance opens at 5 a clock in the morning. And I recommend starting at this time, at least in the summer (I was there in September). Because in the morning the whether is really pleasant and still the way up is really exhausting. But it's a torture in the sun, because you have barely shade. The view is pretty awesome. And the castle up on the mountain is worth it.
There are toilets and water dispenser at the entrance as well as on top of...
