We visited in August 2021 and got 2 beds with an umbrella for 20 euros.
We were given two beds in the front row, which is not where you want to be. As the tide came in, it went right through us. At one point, we were holding on to our beds for dear life every time a wave came rolling in, which was approximately once every 4-6 seconds. Our unshakeable umbrella became an anchor for our woefully unsuitable ocean going beds. Every time the sea washed over us, it brought with it dirty ash-colored sand and a wide variety of plastics. And so we stared our own mortality in the face; gasping for air, covered in mud and getting slapped in the face by household trash.
Two stars for a valuable near-death experience and the 20 enjoyable minutes at slack water before the tide came in.

I would say: go to Santa Maria di Castellabate instead, which is lovely. Visit Agropoli for the beautiful old town, but don't go...
Read moreWe came to Agropoli for a weekend and we were so impressed! Everything about this place was so beautiful. We were actually quite scared to be in a place where no one spoke English, but we found an amazingly prepared staff, able to help us in every step. It was so different from all the beaches we've ever been to: we arrived and had breakfast, and after a refreshing swim we had an amazing lunch, carefully served and every single dish was explained to us with immense patience and it was wonderful. After that we returned to the beach and decided to stop at dinner too and we definitely weren't wrong, because the pizza was marvelous. We will come back and bring more friends because this place definitely needs...
Read moreThere is basically no beach, the first line is often flooded and if you got kids they don't have literally space to play. There are other places where for the same price you can surely get a better deal. That's sad since the corner is a really nice one, but recently it has been ruined by algae accumulation on the beach, forming actually a small hill just nearby. Hopefully the city administration will manage to...
