Dear Balbiano Team, Thank you very much for the very interesting tour through your wine cellar and the private, historical areas and toy collections, which was full of nice surprises. We would especially like to thank Alessia for her empathetic, sympathetic and very personal presentation of the Balbiano history and varied collections. And of course for the very professional and pleasant presentation of the wines to be tasted. Freisa grapes were previously unknown to us, but are a very promising discovery. Balbiano Winery is fabulous, and Alessia was such a wonderful guide through the winery's eclectic history. We had the privilege of trying Balbiano wines in Los Angeles at a wine dinner with Luca, and were eager to have the chance to visit upon our trip to Piemonte a couple of weeks ago. The wines are so unique, and are quite a fun departure from the more famous wines of Piemonte. Having a chance to see the winery's caves and collections was a treat, and chatting with Alessia was absolutely the best part of the whole trip other than the wine tasting itself. Per me era la seconda volta che facevo una degustazione nella loro azienda e devo dire che anche questa volta ne sono rimasta soddisfatta dal punto di vista del vino (adoro la loro Freisa) e arricchita dal modo in cui gestiscono la degustazione e il tour tra gli oggetti preziosi e affascinanti del signor Franco e dal modo in cui accolgono e ti mettono a proprio agio. Alessia è stata professionale nella spiegazione e nel rispondere a tutte le nostre domande ma sempre anche accogliente, scherzosa e ha reso il tour più interessante e divertente, sarei rimasta lì a degustare e a chiacchierare per ore. Che dire andate e non ve ne pentirete, farete una degustazione e un tour diversi dalle altre aziende, si percepisce davvero l'anima e la storia familiare e vinicola di questa azienda. Tutti coloro che lavorano lì con cui mi sono interfacciata sono sempre stati gentili e accoglienti. Sicuramente tornerò per una terza volta, magari per imparare a sciabolare una bottiglia.
