Nel dettaglio, per chi vuole, prima i punti UP e poi quelli DOWN.

UP!

Siamo arrivati fino a 1.300 metri d'altezza. Indimenticabile.

  2. La colazione. Ottima, veramente.

Mio dio, quel Passito...

  5. Incontrare gente nuova in circostanze così belle, a quanto pare, crea una specie di naturale condivisione affettuosa che fa bene a tutti. L'atmosfera è leggerissima. Gli organizzatori, inoltre, parlano correntemente l'inglese (mica scontato in Italia!).

DOWN!

Suvvia, teniamone conto, no?

CONCLUSIONE! FATELO, porcamiseria!

First, this area of Italy is amazingly beautiful. I’ve been almost everywhere in Italy and this is remarkable and way less touristy. We took a high speed clean train from Rome and it took less than two hours as we sped past postcard views. The nearby town of Bevagna is a small Medieval jewel. We happened to be there during their annual Medieval Fest and it was great. Peter even dropped us off and picked us up.

If you stay at their apartment along with ballooning you will be wowed: 360 degree views, a lovely infinity pool and rolling hills of grapes and olive trees. It is ultra clean, new and comfortable with a bedroom, kitchen/LR, and bathroom.

Ballooning itself is incredible. Peter is the pilot and his crew bring you to the launch site. Pretty quickly we were in the air and the views are stunning. The famous walled Medieval city of Assisi sits on a nearby mountain and from the balloon you get incredible views. Peter is a great experienced pilot and navigated expertly. My daughter and I loved it right down to the soft landing. After, you go for a nice Umbrian breakfast at their friends winery and are treated to a great round of food, espresso, champagne and great wine.

If I knew it was this great here I would spend more time in this area. We were only here one night but will be...

My teenage daughter, 11-year-old son, and I had a fabulous time with Balloon Adventures Italy on our first ever hot air balloon ride. Pilot Peter was fascinating! His experience living all over the world and his ability to fluidly go between languages was amazing (our group of 16 people needed Italian, English, and German). You could tell he has a gift for connecting with all kinds of people.

The morning we went was gorgeous and we could see the entire valley. Pilot Peter expertly guided the balloon, turning it so we could get excellent views of the vineyards and countryside. Along the way he pointed out highlights of all of the towns in the area.

We were staying in Assisi and had requested a transfer to be able to get to the balloon starting point. Our driver’s name was Massimo and we had no trouble finding him at the pick up point and he was incredibly courteous. He also dropped us off afterward at a different location where we could meet our larger pilgrimage group, which was very helpful!

We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Balloon Adventures Italy to anyone looking for a special way to experience the...

My girlfriend and I stayed with Peter and we were both very grateful for the experience. Not only was the balloon ride a beautiful and fun little adventure, but because we were foolish enough not to rent a car in Umbria, Peter shuttled is too and from the train station for a fair price. During our stay, since we had no car, Peter's ground crew chief Massimo gave us a ride to old town Assisi and picked us up again after a bit of exploring. Massimo then took us into the town of Spello where he brought us to a restaurant he knew. At the restaurant we were treated to great antipasti and delicious pasta as well as many other tasty treats. At one point I asked Massimo if he was a celebrity in Umbria because it seemed like everyone we passed knew him, and they were all delighted to see him. It makes sense that people are happy when they see him because he helped make our time in Umbria an incredibly special memory. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Balloon Adventures Italy and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone I can. Thank you to Peter and his family, and especially to Massimo, they are truly experts in hospitality.

A perfect addition to a stay in Umbria, even for those with vertigo. Pilot Peter was the perfect host instilling a sense of calm and safety, full of interesting information regarding the landscape and flying the balloon, and full of witty anecdotes. Our flying day was on a morning of perfect summer weather and the views of the spectacular Umbrian countryside were unforgettable. Whether it was cruising at 4000ft or the take off and landing, there was always something interesting to take in. Coming in to land over the roof tops of a village and a perfect, skilful landing made for a memorable flight. But that was not the end of it. Back at Cantina Dionigi where we first met for the flight, we were treated to a tasty breakfast and wine made from Umbria’s famous Sagrantino and Grachetto grapes from the adjoining vineyard, followed by the chance to buy the latter direct from the vineyard’s owner Roberto. Perfect way to end a fabulous morning.
