It is the nicest garden in Bologna and also the nearest place up the hills to the city center (20 minutes walk from piazza Maggiore). Here it is the tree number 1 of Bologna (yes, they are numbered), a magnificent Himalayan Cedar. Nearby you can see the city from the hill and also San Michele in Bosco, the church near the Rizzoli orthopaedic institute. From this tree, if you go west, you cross all the park, which is accurately maintained, with some fruit trees, and you exit the park in via di Gaibola. If you go on the right, you can visit Villa Aldini, which hosted some scenes of Pasolini's Salò, and then walk downhill in Via del Genio to come back to the city center...
