Salto della Lepre — Attraction in Bonassola

Beautiful panorama viewpoint in the middle of a protected natural area with a view of the elegant rugged Ligurian coast and the rich sea where you can sometimes spot a dolphin, reachable by a walk of about 20 minites to half an hour from the station of Bonassola.

For the third year we rent at less than 350 meters walk a house of the largest organic beekeeper in Italy. Every evening we drink some at sunset to finish the day nicely. You can look far in nice and clear weather. In any case, nearby villages such as Framura, the outlying area of ​​Bonassola and Regimonti are clearly visible. Sometimes also the islands of Corsica & Sardinia.

The legend of the Jump of the Hare (Salto della Lepre) is about the hare who prefers to jump into the depths rather than being caught by a hunter. Either as the Dutch expression says: to choose the hares.

In terms of flora, different plant species include various noteworthy plants with poetic names such as Venus navel, prickly pear, male cistus, thorny juniper, but also the wild agave and Sarsaparilla. On the raised ground you can see that the wild boar roams around here.

This area is the gateway to Cinque Terre and has a walking path along the entire Ligurian coast.

It is also very logical that this strategic viewpoint is also deployed militarily. You can easily sit on the roofs of bunkers from the Second World War with air (and sea) anti-aircraft guns attached to the upper bunker of Salto della Lepre. A bit further on at a higher point, near the Salto della Lepre, there are two bunkers with holes of bombing.

Prachtig panorama uitzichtpunt midden in een beschermd natuurgebied met zicht op de elegante ruige Ligurische kust en de rijke zee waar soms een dolfijntje te speuren is, te bereiken door een wandeling van zo'n half uur vanaf het station van Bonassola.

Voor het derde jaar huren wij op nog geen 350 meter lopen een huisje van de grootste biologische imker van Italië. Elke avond drinken wij nog wat bij zonsondergang om de dag mooi af te sluiten. Bij mooi en helder weer kun je ver kijken. In elk geval zijn dichtbijzijnde dorpjes als Framura, het buitengebied van Bonassola en Regimonti goed zichtbaar. Soms ook de eilanden Corsica & Sardinië.

De legende van de Sprong van de Haas (Salto della Lepre) gaat over de haas die liever een sprong in de diepte waagt dan gevangen te worden door een jager. Ofwel zoals de Nederlandse uitdrukking zegt: het hazenpad te kiezen.

Qua flora zijn verschillende plantensoorten zijn diverse vermeldenswaardige planten te vinden met poëtische namen als Venus navel, stekelige peer, mannelijke cistus, doornige jeneverbes, maar ook de wilde agave en Sarsaparilla. Aan de opgewoelde grond is te zien dat het wilde zwijn hier rond zwerft.

Dit gebied is de poort naar Cinque Terre en kent een wandelpad langs de gehele Ligurische kust. Het aardige daaraan is dat er een treintje loopt, waardoor je ook trajecten of van dorp naar dorp kunt lopen over dit wandelpad. Het fijne is dat Cinque Terre op steenworp afstand is, maar dit gebied buiten het hoog seizoen niet zo druk is en ontspanning biedt. Daarnaast zijn er veel voedsel en drankfestiviteiten in Ligurië, zoals van wijnen, rozen, focaccia, ravioli van zeevruchten, noem maar op. Dat maakt dit gebied tot een heerlijke aangename en smakelijke vakantiebestemming.

Het is overigens heel logisch dat dit strategische uitzichtpunt ook militair ingezet is. Je kunt eenvoudig zitten op de daken van bunkers uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog waarbij op de bovenste bunker van Salto della Lepre lucht (en zee) afweergeschut was bevestigd. Een stukje verderop op een hoger gelegen punt, vlak bij de Salto della Lepre zijn nog twee bunkers te vinden met gaten van bombardementen.

Il Salto della Lepre è un punto panoramico posto sulla scogliera a ovest di Bonassola, un centinaio di metri a strapiombo sul mare. Per raggiungerlo occorre imboccare la stradina che dalla zona retrostante la chiesa del paese sale dapprima all' ex oratorio sant' Erasmo poi diventa una scalinata e si immette su via Roma, la strada che si dirige verso la Madonnina della Punta. Presa via Roma in direzione della Madonnina, dopo circa 150 metri inizia sulla destra un sentiero contrassegnato con segnavia rosso e bianco n 661. Il sentiero a scale conduce ad una stradina sterrata che si segue verso sinistra ( un tornante ) per circa 200 metri fino a trovare a sinistra le indicazioni del sentiero Liguria per Montaretto. Seguire il sentiero in costa che passa a fianco delle recinzioni di alcune ville. Quando il sentiero Liguria gira decisamente verso destra prendere invece la deviazione verso sinistra che in breve conduce al Salto della Lepre. Punto panoramico sito lungo il percorso del Sentiero Verde Azzurro. Questa tappa è davvero sorprendente se si parte da Framura e si seguono le indicazioni fino a Bonassola. In circa 2 ore si arriva verso il salto della lepre. Si consigliano scarpe da trekking. La località si raggiunge dapprima lungo un sentiero immerso nella lecceta a strapiombo sul mare, poi, percorrendo il tratturo, ci si ritrova su un ponticello che attraversa un piccolo torrente. Il sentiero sale con vari tornanti sino a passare vicino a delle case, per poi rientrare in un bosco, preceduto da una visione di mare e da qualche filare di vite. Arrivati a 10 minuti da Bonassola si segue la deviazione per il salto della lepre.
