Fischetti — Attraction in Castiglione di Sicilia

This small winery has so much going for it and I believe it will be the pride of Etna DOC in the near future. The wine (white, rose, and red) are complex in a way that challenges many current Etna vineyards. If you decide to go for a tasting expect to: -make a reservation -tour the vineyard -learn about its history (vines and vineyard) -experience a tasting room that truly respects its past and is ready for the future. -have wonderfully prepared pairings. We did a wine tasting and tour while visiting Mt Etna area. The property is gorgeous and the owners are friendly and provided great history of the property and surrounding area. The wine tasting room is well done and we were the only ones there for the tasting! The meat/cheese plate and wines were exceptional. We ended up purchasing a bottle to enjoy later at our hotel.
