Bunker comando di Kesselring — Attraction in Comunità Montana Agno-Chiampo

We went on a tour this Sunday to Kesselring's Bunker Museam in Recoaro. It was extremely interesting to hear about this bunker for the first time about this bunker and the important historical events that took place here. We' ve seen the building from the inside with all the passages. It turns out that it was a particularly important place for the German occupation army. It is impressive that the bunker was built in a mountainous area surrounded by mountains, which made it particularly inaccessible to the Allied troops. What a great initiative from the volunteers! We are a group of 12 colleagues and have been trying to find somewhere that ties Vicenza to WWII context and we finally found this small open air museum. The Bunker was the HQ of the German forces in Italy and it is here where after the 20april1945 bombings from the allies the first draft of the German surrender was drafted. Of the 30 bunkers that are believed to have been built only this one is currently open to the public. The volunteer was Great and I hope they continue to expand this initiatives. Bellissima esperienza! Le guide sono davvero competenti e appassionate! Non posso che lodare la loro passione e la loro competenza nel raccontare nei minimi dettagli la storia del nostro Paese! Il sito meriterebbe da parte della regione Veneto più valorizzazione e più pubblicità e un deciso investimento di marketing e di promozione del turismo per valorizzarlo come fonte di storia per tutti gli studenti di ordine e grado e per tutti italiani che vorrebbero conoscere meglio i dettagli della seconda guerra mondiale. Spero che gli altri 4 bunker su suolo pubblico di Recoaro, oltre a questo, siano presto visitabili e che gli altri 9, di proprietà del Demanio, ma con accesso a proprietà privata, vengano aperti prima o poi. Invito i proprietari a concedere l'autorizzazione necessaria, e che si trovi il modo pur rimanendo un suolo privato, a considerare il fatto che la storia va condivisa per l'interesse pubblico di non ripetere errori del passato. Ciò vale di più del fastidio che può dare un turista che calpesta la tua proprietà, ma in fondo lo fa per imparare qualcosa, ovviamente con rispetto ed educazione. La Regione Veneto, nella fattispecie la sezione Turismo e cultura, dovrebbe comprendere che sarebbe necessario promuovere il turismo a Recoaro, che avrebbe enormi potenzialità: storiche, ambientali e culturali, ma sembra che i vertici della Regione se ne siano completamente dimenticati e li abbiano abbandonati su molte cose.
