Great view of Tirano from the top. The church itself is not open but it a fun hike to soak in the view. Walking through vineyards and then the full city of Tirano laid out below you.
We too the direct route up - from the Basilika Madonna di Tirano - head towards the hill where Santa Perpetua is located, through a small alleyway and there is a covered bridge. Once across the bridge follow the vineyards and take the steps up. There will be a mix of stairs, swtichbacks going up through the vineyard to Santa Perpetua.
On the way down we took a path from the back which is a long but less steep switchback through the trees, emerging along the main road Via Elvenzia - outside of Tirano. Quick walk back...
Read moreWe only saw Santa Perpetua from a distance, but even then, it’s impressive how beautifully it rises above the town. The church stands on a hill and gives Tirano its iconic skyline. It dates back to the 14th century and historically served not only as a place of worship but also as a key landmark for pilgrims traveling through the region.

Read moreVery nice place to visit, totally recommend! There’s a trail to go from the city to the top. Cross the bridge and follow the trail in the vineyards. We went there in January, there were no people almost. I saw someone’s photos from summer which show that it can get quite crowded here.
