Edited because Google maps thinks my photos of sticks in the forest contain "explicit sеxuаI nature" 👀👀 My appeal was even declined by humans. So unfortunately I cannot post the moving grass video (an installation where a staff member is bouncing on a blop of grass), the tunnel of stone rings, the tunnel of sticks...😆 Interesting subconscious whoever is declining my innocent photos.
The exposition in the forest - Arte Sella is a truly unique and immersive experience. The artworks are all created using natural materials and are designed to blend in with the surrounding forest. This creates a sense of wonder and magic, as you feel like you are walking through a living sculpture garden.
There is an area with wooden tables where you can eat your sandwiches and rest on the wooden benches or if you didn't bring any food, there is a restaurant right next to them.
I was particularly impressed by the way the artworks interacted with the natural environment. For example, one sculpture was made of branches and leaves that had been woven together to create a giant spiderweb. Another sculpture was made of rocks that had been arranged in the shape of a spiral. These artworks were not just beautiful to look at, but they also made me think about the interconnectedness of all living things.
The exposition in the forest - Arte Sella is a must-see for anyone who loves art and nature. It is a truly magical place that will stay with you long after you have left.
Here are some other things that I liked about the exposition:
The peaceful and serene setting The opportunity to connect with nature The sense of awe and wonder that the artworks evoke The variety of artworks, from large-scale sculptures to small, intimate installations If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable art experience, I highly recommend visiting the exposition in the forest...
Read moreUnquestionably one of the most stunning art installations on Planet Earth. The genius of engineering combines with art and is placed in an exquisite natural setting within a forest--in the heart of Val Sugana, one of the most gorgeous provinces of Italy. For tons more images and a full write-up of Arte Sella, visit Amy Guides online. Meander through a forest and soak up the green hues against the captivating Dolomites. The artists who display in Arte Sella come from all over the world. Highlights (see photos) include:
•Wilsbecker's "Through the Soul" is hazelnut tree branches wrapped around an oak tree and formed into a hut at the base.
•Antoni Howe's "Winds of Sella" collapsed in a horrific storm in Oct 2018, but remains a visionary piece ensconced in the Arte Sella's natural surroundings. Rather than resurrect the piece, Howe prefers the piece be "reclaimed by nature".
•Jaehyo Lee's "0121-1110=115075" is a testament to Asian design, culture and appreciation of nature.
•Giuliano Mauri's "The Tree Cathedral", erected in Dec 2000 is a physical and visual masterpiece. Mauri's goal was to erect a cathedral of trees, and it is precisely that. By 2021, the artwork will be complete, and the caretakers will begin pruning the trees to create a cathedral ceiling affect.
•John Grade's "Reservoir" has 5000 plastic reservoirs suspended from the surrounding trees. Elements of wind, water, light and air to create a symphony of...
Read moreWe drive to the location and park, then a man walks up to us and asks us why we're there, as if we are trespassing. We didn't see the sign to not drive up the hill, but there are two parking lots and I find it hard to understand, on a chilly December day, why we would be expected to park on the side of the road, and walk a kilometer to an empty parking lot. He acted like he was doing us an extraordinary favor by letting us park there, but we had to move the car to the other side of the parking lot. This is after we are already parked and outside of the car. Why did he make us move 50 feet? As some kind of measure of control for himself so he can feel like he has the upperhand? Ridiculous. But we had driven a ways to get there, so we put our feet in our mouth and went on. He should have been grateful we were there, lucky that someone went out of there way on a chilly day to walk around a park outside. No one else was there the entire time we were. And yet he wanted to make us feel like he was doing us a favor by allowing us to pay an overpriced 8 euro per person for a small...
