Sadly, I have to edit my review after 2 years. In 2023 we did the same tour as in 2021. I'm sad to say the quality of the tasting and wine has become subpar. The mandatory fee of 25€ per person only covered 4 out of 6 wines; specifically the best two wines were out. The tour was shorter as well. In addition, the wines failed to impress. The single available red wine tasted like a white wine, and the white wines were too young to have any body. The only acceptable wine was a sparkling white, but at a price of €25 it didn't stand it's ground. At the price range 15 - 35€ per bottle + 25€ tour at Montonale you expect above-average wines, but this year it didn't deliver. For completeness I leave the (positive) 2021 review below: What an amazing place. You really feel like a proper guest here. The wine is sublime and the tour is amazing. Big plus for being a small family business with amazing products.

One of my fav vineyards around Garda lake. All staff are very polite and happy to explain you how everything is working there. Roberto (one of the owners) explained us about the soil, the grapes, the process to transform grapes in wine and the fermentation's process as well. We finished our tour with a taste of wines: both red and white. They have a very fine Sparkling Lugana called PRIMESSENZA (you have to try it) and a very special white wine called ORESTILLA which is a Lugana as well, winner of important prizes for its quality. We tried 2 different red wines as well but my favorite product here is the GRAPPA DI LUGANA. Prices are very good for the great quality of the products and this place just deserve a visit for the beauty of the view.

We had an incredible time on the Montonale vineyard tour. Sarah, our guide, was absolutely fantastic—super friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate. She explained everything so clearly and took the time to answer all of our questions, which made the experience even more special. You can really feel that this is a true family-run vineyard, where care, attention to detail, and a love for both wine and the environment shine through in everything they do. The wines were delicious, and the whole setting was beautiful and welcoming. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and heartfelt wine tour experience!
