We were lucky to stumble upon this place while searching for more organic wineries in the Chianti classico region. It also helped that we had been staying near the area for an entire month. Upon arriving at Paolaâs, we thought there may be a chance we would be turned away since she had an appointment she was getting ready for. Luckily, that was not the case and we had one of our most unique experiences in all of the 20 wineries we visited! Thank God the reservation she had didnât show up! We were fortunate to have been treated like family and sit in the sun room with all of the decor and a beautiful window looking into the hills. From there, it was a masterclass on Bricciano and and deep dive into Paolaâs life. We chatted for hours and couldnât help but feel like we had just made a lifelong companion. So much so that we kept in contact and made another return before departing from Siena a couple of weeks later. The second experience was just as magical, if not more since we were able to slowly get to know her son and chat more about life. I can confidently say that the small production they do here was one of, if not the best, production of Chianti Classico wine we experienced. Their treatment of the land and not cutting corners can be tasted through the finished product. Now we have 2 cases (for now) of Bricciano wine and a lifetime...

Just before our wedding in Florence, my husband and I brought my wine-loving parents to explore Tuscanyâs vineyards, and the experience at this family-owned vineyard surpassed all our expectations. The de Pentheny O'Kelly family welcomed us with such warmth and genuine hospitality, giving us a personal tour of the vineyard and sharing the story behind their craft. We then enjoyed an exquisite wine tasting accompanied by a beautifully arranged spread of cheeses and cold cuts, all thoughtfully selected to enhance the wines.
The wines were exceptional, reflecting the familyâs passion and dedication to quality, but it was the heart behind the experience that made it truly unforgettable. They are truly wonderful people, and their kindness and authenticity made us feel like part of the family. We couldnât resist shipping some of their incredible wine home, and it arrived in perfect condition. We will cherish this memory for years to come and hope to return one day to...

The place in general was lovely to visit. Excellent wines - especially the âSan Gioveseâ and the âIl Ritrovoâ which also has an amazing story behind. Worth the visit if you like learning about wine, would love to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of the Chianti region and want to try really fine wines. Certainly an upgrade from typical large...
