Ristorante @ Borgo Casa al Vento — Restaurant in Gaiole in Chianti

For reference we have travelled the world and live in Singapore so we have certainly experienced quality restaurants. This is the worst experience we've had in Tuscany. Owners were very proud of what turned out to be a very inferior culinary experience. We waited 3 hrs before the we called an end to the enforced set menu. The Fiorentina was quite possibly the most chewy bistecca we've ever experienced. The setting is beautiful. The road to get to it probably ruined the underside of our rental. This is what Tuscany is all about. The scenery is fantastic. The road up to this place is a small adventure by itself and adds to the experience. Il ristorante Osteria del Borgo si trova presso Borgo Casa al Vento, che è molto più di un semplice agriturismo: un'oasi di pace e bellezza immersa nella campagna del Chianti. Anche se la mia visita non includeva un soggiorno, ho potuto ammirare la cura e la magia di questo luogo. Ho visitato alcune delle camere, molto accoglienti e spaziose, la spa e le piscine immerse nella bellezza del territorio promettono puro relax, ma il ristorante Osteria del Borgo merita una menzione speciale. Qui, insieme a mio marito, ho gustato piatti che raccontano la storia del territorio, preparati con ingredienti genuini e di grande qualità.
