Roman amphitheater of Larino — Attraction in Larino

This could be an excellent attraction but even from outside the fence it looked a little tired and unkept. Be careful, dog poo is everywhere around the exterior and the entrance has no signage with prices just a wooden cabin was all we could see which looked a bit messy inside, we didn't bother going in. It's a shame as I would have liked to see down into the centre of the amphitheatre and get some...

Obviously a beautiful part of ancient history , sadly however a lot more the local commune of Larino should be doing to support and promote it's true historical value in the region which would ensure tourists are drawn to visit and absorb...

Un anfiteatro romano al centro del paese! Già dalla statale 87 se ne vede la sagoma, ma quando si è di fronte al cancello se ne comprende la monumentalitá. Un luogo denso di episodi, ricco di storia, lampante esempio della strataficazione di questi luoghi e dell'impronta romana che difficilmente verrà cancellata. Dall'interno si può solo immaginare la magnificenza di quegli spalti gremiti di pubblico in attesa della fiere e dei gladiatori pronti a sfidarsi a morte. Unico neo piuttosto rilevante e la scarsa reperibilità di guide esperte e gli orari d'apertura del tutto incomprensibili. Resta nonostante ciò un sito da visitare assolutamente per il turista che...
