Spiaggia Porto Taverna — Attraction in Loiri-Poltu Santu Paolu/Loiri Porto San Paolo

Spiaggia Porto Taverna is a classic Sardinian tourist beach, but what sets it apart is the stunning view of the island-mountain rising from the sea. We stayed for a couple of hours and enjoyed the defined swimming area, though note it’s somewhat restricted due to nearby smaller boats anchoring.

It’s a popular spot, so crowds can build up quickly – best to come early if you want a quieter experience. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, making it a good option for a lunch break or mid-day escape from the sun.

You need this beach in your Sardinia trip. In the middle of your roaming in between the Brandinchis and the Cappriciolis (yes they are sublime) and the reservations and the overpriced beach rentals, you need this casual yet beautiful bay, which demand a lot less of your time and money. Rent the beds within the same day (suprise and yes it's possible), grab your parking lot pizzas and octopus sandwiches, kiosk proseccos and enjoy the day. The sea is crystal clear almost everywhere in Sardinia so don't worry...

It was a really nice beach, the water was just like paradise and swimming was great. Go if you are happy with being really close to many people or just for a quick swim. There are parking options nearby but more or less they charge 2 euros per hour. If you forget what happens in the back, full of people and restaurants, bars etc. the beach...
