Spiaggia Cavallo Morto — Attraction in Maiori

First of all, the beach itself is beautiful, it’s hidden and not crowded. You can reach it by boat from Maiori, which costs €20 per person. The boat drops you off and picks you up around 5 PM. UNFORTUNATELY, and very sadly, the beach and the sea were extremely dirty. There was plastic and garbage everywhere, both on the sand and floating in the water. Many small boats were parked very close to the shore, which they normally shouldn’t be, and this added to the mess. We couldn’t swim because the water was so polluted. Surprisingly, there were also many spiders on the beach, which made it really uncomfortable especially for someone like me who is...

Potrebbe essere la spiaggia più bella di tutta la costiera amalfitana se non fosse per le miriadi di barche ormeggiate quasi a riva...che oltre a deturpare l'ambiente inquinano sia coi gas di scarico (perché scendono con motore acceso fino alla fine) sia lanciando in acqua ogni genere di rifiuto dall'incarto di una merendina alla bottiglia di plastica al tappo del prosecco e per finire ai preservativi! Davvero uno scempio! Menomale che ogni tanto passa capitaneria e guardia...

No access by foot. All entrances are private from the main road. Save time and go to Maiori. Otherwise, the beach does look very good...
