Santa Maria de Olearia — Local services in Maiori

My husband and I just recently stayed here for a night on our honeymoon and can't stress enough how great and unique this place is.

From the arrival in the taxi Vincenzo, at the front desk, talked to our taxi driver for us to help find exactly where to drop us off. When we arrived we were welcomed with drinks and ushered up to the overlook to enjoy the breathtaking view.

Once we were finished with our drinks we changed and went back to the lobby to take their complementary shuttle to Maiori for dinner. It was very nice not to have to worry about calling a taxi for once during our trip. At the end of the night we were finished before the shuttle was scheduled to pick up so we called the front desk and they offered to come get us early.

The hotel was decorated with so much thought to preserve it's history while also modernizing it for guests experience. There was AC, a mini bar, slippers, robes, and plenty of toiletries for our use.

We had a lovely complimentary breakfast in the cave overlooking the coast and when we were ready to head out they were able to schedule us a nice taxi to our next location.

My husband and I stayed here for a week on honeymoon. Absolutely loved it, Vincenzo was super helpful and gave us lots of tips and his English is excellent. Italo was a sweetheart and even though his English was minimal he was so accommodating and tolerant of my terrible Italian! If you want peace, history and insane views, this is the place for you. Be mindful that it is not for the faint hearted so if you are scared of heights or want to be in walking distance of amenities, this is not for you. There is parking but you need balls of steel to drive round there! The hotel provide a shuttle into Maiori 5-6 times a day which is a 10 minute drive with access to a great beach club, restaurants, ferry and buses. There is also a bus stop directly outside. Vincenzo front of house was extremely quick to respond to any emails or requests prior to and during our stay. His English is fantastic. He reassured us with direction to another hotel or bar in the nearby town of Maiori if we had any difficulties whilst away from the hotel. There is a regular free shuttle between the hotel and Maiori. The hotel will arrange a private shuttle from Naples airport if necessary - Jean Luca was a great driver - careful as well as informative during our transit. Italo the server is an absolute gem - his English is as good as my Italian but he was very attentive and did his best to meet our needs, which he always did and then some! The chef was fantastic - beautiful fresh food always and was happy to modify to meet any requests. Views from the restaurant terrace and rooms are fantastic.
