What a phenomenal experience. Therasia Resort highly recommended we visit, and we are so glad we did. We arrived just as the team began glueing labels and sealing bottles with fresh melted beeswax. Assia showed us the winery and led our tasting in both Italian and English. Nino the owner sat with us the entire time and shared fascinating knowledge and stories about the versatile Malvasia grape and the island of Salina. Premetto che le tre stelle non sono dovute ai vini assaggiati, bensì all'accoglienza non proprio "paritaria" diciamo. Riserviamo da tempo la nostra degustazione e veniamo accolti in un piccolo gruppo di persone da una bravissima collaboratrice che si fa ambasciatrice della cantina, narrandoci l'origine del marchio e conducendoci nelle cantine. Poco dopo però il gruppo si amplia, arrivano dei conoscenti (crediamo) del proprietario ed è come se il gruppo si fosse diviso in chi davvero fosse incuriosito dai vini e chi invece da altro, per cui diventa difficile seguire la presentazione, il proprietario favorisce visibilmente i "suoi conoscenti" in un'atmosfera poco familiare e un po' di imbarazzo. Andiamo via un po' delusi, sarebbe stato meglio dividere i due gruppi e dedicare un momento a parte soltanto per i "conosciuti".
