Our visit started with a closed gate but after a call and a very friendly talk, the owner opened the gate and we arrived at this beautifull place. A friendly welcome by the owner was followed with a passionate story about wine making. The passion of the grape, the passion about barrels, the passion about how to serve was felt by us. We were welcomed by Federico in his amazing place, where he gave us an inspiring, hystorical and also very technical explanation of the whole production process, from plant to bottle. Then we proceeded with the degustazione and we eneded up buying 5 bottles of the amazing Terra di Leone and Re Pazzo wines. He even gave us a ride to the rastaurant because we were running very late due to our previous degustazioni. Siamo stati con parenti per visitare questa cantina. La moglie del proprietario ci ha fatti visitare i luoghi in cui vengono prodotti i loro vini, molto belli e puliti, raccontandoci la storia di questa “piccola” e giovane realtà, nata non molti anni fa. La percezione è stata quella di trovarsi di fronte una persona che con la terra e con il vino ci lavora direttamente e ci vive, che ci ha trasmesso con i suoi racconti ciò che sta dietro una bottiglia di vino che noi compriamo, anche a livello di sforzi, fatiche, preoccupazioni, gioie, soddisfazioni. È stato molto piacevole parlare con un produttore che riesce a trasmettere ciò che c’è nella sua vita, oltre che dentro le bottiglie che produce. Abbiamo concluso la visita con una degustazione dei loro prodotti. A me è rimasto impresso il loro amarone Terre di Leone, uno dei migliori che abbia mai bevuto.
