Museo Del Tombolo — Attraction in Mirabella Imbaccari

My advice to anyone thinking of going there is don't bother. Despite checking at the Catania Tourist information who actually rang the museum to check opening times, when we got there it was closed . The town is virtually inacessible by public transport, - the one bus a day from Catania takes nearly 3 hours and returns straight away. We therefore had the cost of the taxi back to Caltagirone bus station and a whole day of our holiday wasted in addition to the disappointment for my wife who is a lacemaker. Prima volta che riesco ad andare nonostante torno spesso a Mirabella. Bel percorso che si snoda dai primi lavori storici sino alle sale che vanno dalla nascita al matrimonio ed alla vita familiare, con creazioni al tombolo inerenti ad ogni evento importante della vita. Potenzialità sul tombolo non ancora del tutto sfruttate, comunque sicuramente da visitare! Bravi i ragazzi che mi hanno guidato...
