This was arguably the best tasting experience at a winery that I’ve ever had. Working in the wine industry I’ve heard about the legendary wines made here and decided to visit and I’m so glad I did. Our guide Francesco made our experience extremely pleasurable and his knowledge of the property was extremely appreciated. Francesco went above and beyond his call of duty and I wish I could give him a 6/5 if I could. When it came to the wines the ones that stood out most were the Brunello’s, of which I’m extremely impressed that they allowed us to taste the reserve level. I wish I could have purchased more wines however traveling back to Canada made this extremely difficult so I was only able to purchase 1. If you’re looking to visit a winery in montalcino, please look no further and book this. When I return to Italy I know I’ll be going back to castiglion del bosco....

Though we were over two hours late, the hosts received us graciously, ensuring that the children were immediately made comfortable with refreshing juices. The adults, in turn, were offered generous portions of freshly baked bread accompanied by locally produced olive oil and an exceptional selection of wine.
The tour itself proved to be well worth the investment. Beyond the aesthetic pleasure of the beautifully maintained wine barrels, the experience was enriched by the depth of information provided. The guide offered a well-researched overview of the history of the winery, including key innovations and the individuals responsible for advancing viticultural practices...
