This was arguably the best tasting experience at a winery that I’ve ever had. Working in the wine industry I’ve heard about the legendary wines made here and decided to visit and I’m so glad I did. Our guide Francesco made our experience extremely pleasurable and his knowledge of the property was extremely appreciated. Francesco went above and beyond his call of duty and I wish I could give him a 6/5 if I could. When it came to the wines the ones that stood out most were the Brunello’s, of which I’m extremely impressed that they allowed us to taste the reserve level. I wish I could have purchased more wines however traveling back to Canada made this extremely difficult so I was only able to purchase 1. If you’re looking to visit a winery in montalcino, please look no further and book this. When I return to Italy I know I’ll be going back to castiglion del bosco. Grazie Francesco!

The winery was nested within the beautiful rosewood hotel compound. Our host (lady) was very friendly , and comprehensive in her sharing . It turn out to be a private tour with just the 3 of us ( including the tour ) and the host was very patient in answering my husband’s 100 questions. The winery was relatively compact with all operations located within the compound The tasting was located in a tastefully designed room, and consisted 6 wines across its entire red wine selection , including the BdM Riserva and campo del drago. The tasting was also accompanied by a platter of pecorino cheese , salami and their homemade olive oil . All in all, it was a wonderful experience which offered great value for money Side note : the road leading up to the rosewood compound was rough and unpaved . not the most pleasant drive

I’m absolutely fantastic experience on our wine tasting and tour. The tour was private just for my family, and they really took care to make the spring special for all of us, including my children. The facility is beautiful located at the top of the hill. The wine cellar is the prettiest wine cellar ever seen in my life. The beauty of this Vineyard is not surprising, considering that one of the Ferragamo family members runs it. The winds themselves are fantastic. The Brunello is some of the best Brunello I have tasted. The cheese and fruit pairings were perfect. We picked up several bottles of Brunello, olive oil, and some dessert wine. Next time I visit Tuscany I’m going to stay at the agritourismo as it looks amazing.

Despite arriving significantly delayed—owing to heavy traffic en route to Tuscany—my family and I were met with remarkable hospitality. Though we were over two hours late, the hosts received us graciously, ensuring that the children were immediately made comfortable with refreshing juices. The adults, in turn, were offered generous portions of freshly baked bread accompanied by locally produced olive oil and an exceptional selection of wine.

The tour itself proved to be well worth the investment. Beyond the aesthetic pleasure of the beautifully maintained wine barrels, the experience was enriched by the depth of information provided. The guide offered a well-researched overview of the history of the winery, including key innovations and the individuals responsible for advancing viticultural practices...
