Truffle Museum — Attraction in Montalcino

Not sure if due to COVID and the lack of tourists, but this place felt like totally uncared for. Most of the video projections did not work. There is supposed to be a sensory “game” that didn’t work neither. There seems to be an exhibition on the city but everything is in Italian… so no clue if it is good or not. In terms of content, the Wikipedia page of truffle offers more than this museum. It was not expensive (5€) and yet...

The museum website advertises this to be opened at various hours from Thursday to Sunday at this time of the year. It is not. An official, today, told us to come back Sunday. Why? We have been back every single day that is says it is to be open for two weeks, and no one has bothered to open it. Please fix the website to let people know that it is rarely open, even when it says it is to be. ...

Avrei voluto andarci sabato 12 agosto. Premetto che gli orari d'apertura indicati sul sito ed esposti in loco erano dalle 10.30 alle 18.30. Alle 11 l'ingresso era chiuso con le inferiate, ho girovagato un po' per il paese e finalmente alle ore 12 qualcuno ha deciso di aprire. Alla mia domanda se fosse possibile visitare il museo in quanto non era stato rispettato l'orario d'apertura mi è stato risposto che quella mattina avevano deciso di aprire un po' più tardi, mi è stato inoltre segnalato che i monitor non erano funzionanti. Molto amareggiata ho quindi deciso di non entrare, credo non sia propriamente corretto non rispettare gli orari d'apertura in un luogo...
