Everything about Cantine Astroni exudes authenticity and beauty. If you have the incredible pleasure of meeting Christina, one of the owners, you are in for an absolute treat. Not only is she wonderfully personable, but she is also incredibly knowledgeable about the area's history and their wine. We were captivated by all of the wines, but we have become particularly addicted to their Vigna Astroni Falanghina and the Pedirosso! They offer the best Falanghina I have ever tasted. The Pedirosso is perfect for warmer weather and is simply delicious!

There is a group of us that live in nearby Pozzuoli while working with the US Navy. We made a reservation for 9 people for a private tour and loved it! We see a lot of wineries living here and enjoyed Cantine Astroni a lot! Christina was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and personable. She took care to find us shade during our vineyard tour which was appreciated. Our lunch was a delicious pesto pasta and they were picking the tomatoes from their own trees as we walked in. Abbiamo acquistato due esperienze "L’incanto degli Astroni: Natura, Storia e Vino tra le Meraviglie dei Campi Flegrei" che includevano: Prima Parte: Escursione nella Riserva Naturale WWF Cratere degli Astroni; Seconda Parte: Visita e Degustazione alle Cantine Astroni; Terza parte: Degustazione e pranzo completo in cantina.

Apprendiamo la mattina stessa (a meno di un' ora dall' inizio dell' orario di incontro) che la prima parte (escursione) è annullata per crisi bradisismica in corso dalla sera precedente. Per non annullare l'intera giornata e per evitare eventuali sprechi di cibo, decidiamo comunque di partecipare alla seconda e alla terza parte dell' attività (ci vengono restituiti 10 euro a testa per la mancata escursione). Il posto è molto bello, la visita a vigna e cantina è stata breve ma comunque piacevole. Pranzo molto semplice, ma comunque gradito e vino buono. Peccato che dei tre calici previsti in totale (uno per portata) sia stato riempito solo il fondo ogni volta (allego foto esplicativa). Quindi sì tre "calici" con tre diversi tipi di vino, ma con una quantità di vino nemmeno lontanamente sufficiente ad essere degustato contestualmente alla portata. Abbiamo fatto numerose degustazioni in giro per l'Italia e la Campania e conosciamo le quantità di vino generalmente utilizzate nelle degustazioni, soprattutto se la degustazione è abbinata ad un "pasto completo" come da locandina e non a semplice aperitivo/stuzzichini. La motivazione fornita per la scarsa quantità di vino è stata "il rispetto del decreto sicurezza del codice della strada". No comment. A fine pasto, abbiamo chiesto se fosse possibile avere almeno un caffè, ma ci è stato detto che "non era previsto dopo la degustazione". Peccato che avessimo fatto un pranzo completo e non una degustazione. A volte basterebbe poco per fare sentire a proprio agio i clienti, soprattutto quelli che sono vi sono venuti incontro nonostante gli imprevisti, ma questa attenzione è assolutamente mancata e il vino (buono) è stato...
