Zamek Padenghe sul Garda to dawny gród pochodzący z XII wieku , choć byłem w takim miejscu nie raz , to pierwszy raz widziałem mury obronne zamku a w środku mieszkają ludzie i mają swoje prywatne posesje a zarazem można tam wejść bez problemu i zwiedzać. Stoi na wzgórzu, z którego rozpościera się piękny widok na miasto i na jezioro. Zamek powstał około 1145 roku i prawdopodobnie został zbudowany na ruinach poprzedniego zamku z X wieku. W 1154 roku zamek został przekazany przez cesarza Fryderyka Barbarossa biskupowi Werony. Był on bardzo długo przedmiotem sporów pomiędzy regionem Brescii a Werony. W XV i XVI wieku zamek był utrzymywany przez Republikę Wenecji i Księstwo Mediolanu. Był w posiadaniu Wenecjan od 1520 do 1796 roku.
