We were looking for a place to have a nice dinner on our last evening before travelling back home and found this little gem.
It was a 5 minute drive from our camping spot and had our go-to drinking-water fountain on the way, so it happened to align perfectly with where we needed to go anyway.
We arrived and were immediately met with the beautiful view of the first picture at the entrance.
After stepping through the doorway we see the little cuddly boy on the second picture who I immediately fell in love with. And he seemed to enjoy the attention too.
We went inside and got a nice table in the garden (we had reserved 2 hours earlier). We sat down, got the menu and were discussing how we could try as much as possible.
Pretty much everything on the menu sounded deliscious and if I had a bigger stomach I might've just ordered the entire menu.
Service was very quick and really friendly. We got some water bottles for the entire table. I additionally went for some Ice Tea, which happened to be my favorite brand (San Benedetto).
For appetizers we went with the trout tartare and I believe the other one was called chicken tartare both of which we shared, because we didn't really know how much we would be able to eat.
The chicken tartare had a more savory flavour with onions and raisins in the mix, while the trout tartare was more sweet and fruity.
I personally preferred the latter (because the combo of fish and fruit was just divine), but my friends also praised the chicken one a lot. You can see both on the third picture.
After these starters we all knew we had found our favorite restaurant in Italy.
As you may imagine we were now really looking forward to our main course and it didn't take long to arrive.
I had ordered the rabbit meal (the exact name is escaping me right now) which again was super delicious. I had never eaten rabbit before and it didn't disappoint.
The potatoes that came with it were also super delectable. Despite us all tasting each others food, I can't even remember what the others ate, because all my attention was on my plate.
The amazing food and quiet atmosphere paired with the aforementioned cats (Can you tell I miss my own cats back home?😄) made this experience almost meditative.
This might've also been the first time in my life that I actually slowed down, because I wanted to be able to enjoy the food for a little bit longer. I am always the first to finish my plate, but not this time, this time I was last.
We were already mostly satisfied and were thinking about sharing desserts as well, but ended up ordering 4 tiramisu (one for each) and the chocolate salami that we just wanted to try out. All of them neatly arranged in the last picture.
We all enjoyed our last few bites, the "salami" was way better than I expected and as someone who could eat a truck-load of tiramisu, dessert ended up rounding out the evening perfectly.
After sitting and raving about how good we all felt after this 3 course meal, we paid and left with thanks and compliments to the chef.
Aside from the food the atmosphere remained very calm even when more guests showed up later in the evening.
Service as I mentioned was quick and super friendly, and the garden we ate in was very beautiful, as was the entire building.
I would venture to say, that this was possibly the all-around best experience I've ever had in a restaurant. I love food, but I never knew the amount of joy I could feel from the simple act of eating.
I will certainly be eating here again, as will my friends and we wish only the best to the crew.
PS: I rarely write reviews, because I'm mostly too lazy, but in my opinion they deserve the praise.
PPS: I did not rate the rooms since we only ate there, I hope this will not negatively effect the overall rating.

The environment is stunning, especially the outdoor garden area - and exceptionally clean. If you are near Padenghe you HAVE to try their food - every meal I have eaten (I've been a few times) is delectable! They deserve more than five stars. I am not getting the option to select 'restaurant' (instead of hotel) - so some of the information I am clicking on may not 'match'. Its a...
