First and foremost, adjust your expectations accordingly. This isn’t Disneyland, and it doesn’t strive to be - nor should it. I read a slew of negative reviews that nearly convinced me to skip the trip altogether. However, some critiques were so hyperbolic, I couldn’t help but suspect there was more to the story.
Pinocchio Park is an enchanting fusion of amusement park and museum, a testament to Italy’s unique ability to transform anything into a work of art. The journey begins with antique carousels, offering a fascinating glimpse into the pastimes of our grandparents’ era. The park caters to all ages, boasting an Adventure Park for little ones and another for older kids, aged 8 to 14. A story-driven track guides you through the narrative in a way that is both serene and magical.
Next, the Garzoni Gardens and Butterfly House await. While the butterflies may be sparse, the garden is a veritable wonderland, whisking you away into a fairytale.
The park’s unofficial motto might well be “This is not Disneyland”. And that’s perfectly okay.
In conclusion, don’t take yourself too seriously. Embrace your inner child and prepare to be charmed by the unique charm of...
Read moreWe entered the butterfly park and took lots of photos. Even though the butterflies didn't have the most vibrant colors, they were still huge and pleasant to look at. There's a sign telling you not to touch the butterflies so I wouldn't get my hopes up on getting one on your shoulder or hand etc. Unless the butterfly willingly flies onto you. (which happened to my cousin). In addition to the butterflies, there was a variety of animals in glass cages like some beetles, piranhas and stuff like that. Oh and there were also some birds flying around in the glass house (where the butterflies were freely flying around).
This is definitely a place aimed at entertainment. I couldn't see a lot of facts about the different species and that type of information, so not the most educational destination.
After a while, you get enough of the butterflies, and that's not necessarily a lot of time untill you stop being fascinated (at least for me). If you're a hardcore butterfly fan then you'll love this, if not then you'll like it for a while and slowly get bored since there's not a lot to do other than look at the same 20-30 butterflies over...
Read moreThis park is suitable for children around 5 years. There are some carussels at the beginning which are quite old and slow but the children have fun. The access to them are limited by six rounds for each child which is very disappointing. At special times there are theater performances which are quite nice but it's only in italian. The storys are about Pinocchio's journey. So if you know the book you understand the dialogues quite good. There are several games parents can play with their children. There is a maze and a garden where you can walk around. For children there is a new climbing area where children really have fun. There is also a craft room for children where you can make your own magic stick or magic hat. But it's also limited. A big pros is the green area which is a good place to stay during the hot hours. A big cons is the expensive price. An adult pays 13 € only for accompany since you can't use anything as an adult. Also due to the high ticket price the using of the carussels shouldnt be limited since younger children cannot climb in the climbing area. All in all we stayed 3...
