Monte Faito — Attraction in Pimonte

The Funivia that goes up is great. Once there, there is no terrace with view at level. You need to walk down for 20 minutes along the street or 10 minutes on steep stairs to reach the view (which is not a view point terrace but a bar with a view). There is lack of any indication whatsoever on how to reach a view point and the Belvedere or on any other activity or facility available. The bus that goes up passes every two hours (allegedly). There is a bar but nothing else visible. The place is overall quite dirty, trash and cigarettes everywhere. Avoid the toilet in the bar on top. It is a place with great potential, that would deserve a complete renovation and investments; the view and funivia would deserve 5 stars, but it is at present still surrounded by negligence and abandon....

One of my favorite days during my two week Italy trip was the day spent taking the cable car, talking to Nicola (the owner of the bar connected to the Cable Car area) about where to hike and eating his delicious food and drinks, hiking along the road there, reaching the church and great view, hiking back through the forest, ending with a few more snacks and drinks and taking the cable car...

Monte Faito, Pimonte, NA QUESTA E' UNA INDICAZIONE ERRATA !!! E induce tantissime persone a perdere ore ed ore di tempo nel raggiungere realmente il monte Faito in auto. Questa posizione porta nel paese di Pimonte, nella frazione di Tralia, in un sentiero di montagna che conduce a Faito soltanto a piedi e tutto questo crea moltissimi danni alla viabilità cittadina nonchè ai turisti ed ai visitatori che vogliono raggiungere con l'automobile il Monte Faito e che sono costretti a ritornare indietro a Castellammare di Stabia e continuare verso il corretto itinerario. Il Monte Faito IN AUTO si raggiunge SOLO da Vico Equense. Alla lettura di tale recensione, prego vivamente il titolare di questa scheda di mettersi in contatto con me per provare a risolvere il problema ed ubicare la posizione ed il relativo percorso in maniera corretta e coscienziosa.
