My first experience at Braida was underwhelming. I arrived with high expectations, but the initial presentation felt rushed and lacked the warmth I had hoped for. It left me feeling a bit disappointed, questioning whether the visit would live up to what had been expected .
However, everything changed after I had the opportunity to speak with the Carolina and the team. They listened openly to my feedback and kindly took the time to introduce me more personally to the winery . That’s when the experience truly transformed.
Hearing directly from Carolina, I began to understand the deep passion, patience, and craftsmanship that go into every bottle. It wasn’t just about wine anymore—it was about the love of the land, the traditions passed down through generations, and the meticulous attention to detail that defines their work.
By the end of the visit, I felt genuinely connected—not only to the wine, but to the story behind it. It’s rare to see that kind of dedication and authenticity, and it made all the difference. What began as a letdown became one of the most meaningful tasting...
Read moreThis must be the funnest visit to any winery so far in our lives! We - a group of three persons - expected the tour to last about one and a half or two hours but actually it took more than three hours. The presenter was very kind and great fun and made us feel quite relaxed. There were hilarious details like squeezing through a tiny door and being met by a mock hit on the head by a double magnum (or was it a Jeroboam?) The presenter led us through the cellars drawing our attention to many interesting details like the numerous humorous wine-related paintings/posters on the walls painted by a friend of the late Giacomo Bologna's. The most important wines - the Barberas - were complex and very strong: Bricco dell'Uccellone, Bricco della Bigotta and Ai Suma. The cheaper Montebruna was good too as well as the Bracchetto d'Acqui, la Monella and the Moscato d'Asti - and the grappa. We appreciated the moderate...
Read moreThank you Braida and our host Maria for an amazing wine tasting experience in November which was better than we could have ever dreamed of. The tour, the wine, the delicious charcuterie board all were simple perfection. We were late due to getting lost (first time driving in Italy) and you were so accommodating. The winery is beautiful and it was so much fun listening to the history of Braida while sampling your delicious wine. And the pours were extremely generous. Our only regret is that we cannot visit you more often, but our case of wine just arrived so we will gladly be drinking it throughout the holidays!!! This is winery you don’t want to miss!! Next time we will be staying at your Bed and Breakfast. Thank you thank you ...
