Castello di Cly — Attraction in Saint-Denis

The castle is extremely nice. Despite having been abandoned for several centuries and never truly renovated, it is possible to imagine how it was back in the Middle Age. Deserve a mention the effort of the municipality that opens it every summer. Not to forget the young students that with passion and expertise guide the tourists through the history of the castle and its development. Moreover the ticket is very cheap!

It’s closed now, but where’s ways to get in… I celebrated my birthday by having a picnic with my bf and dogs in the garden by the castle. Il castello Cly è costruito su un picco roccioso a strapiombo sul borgo di Chambave. Anche se ormai è un rudere ha il suo fascino derivato dall'atmosfera medievale e dalla sua posizione. Si può arrivare fino sotto il castello con la macchina da Chambave seguendo indicazione Saint Denis/castello Cly dove c'è il parcheggio, un bagno chimico e la biglietteria oppure a piedi sulla mulattiera, sempre da Chambave. E aperto dal 1 luglio al 31 agosto da martedì a domenica, dalle 10.00 alle 12.30 e dalle 14.30 alle 18.00 Ultimo ingresso 30 minuti prima della chiusura. Il costo del biglietto 2 euro intero, 1 euro ridotto, gratis bambini sotto i 12 anni. Può essere visto solo con visita guidata.
