If you want a hike tip: Go to Obereggen, park your car there and hike to Lago di Carezza, follow the trail as it’s indicated, it takes around 2 hours. When you at Lago di Carezza, take a break and then go continue the hike uphill, there is a sign saying you can do 2 routes, take the 1 that indicates 1hr, follow it until you see a big field and or lake (depending of the weather) go straight and go uphill once again all the way until you see a sign, go right and follow that trail all the way till the glaciers. When you are at the glaciers you can hike back to Obereggen instead of going back, meaning you will have hiked a full circle 20 KM. It’s tough, steep, but so worth it!...

Practical tips:

🅿️ Parking – There are plenty of parking spaces on site. The fee is quite high: €3 per hour. It’s best to bring cash, as the machine didn’t accept cards. Also, bills larger than €10 are not accepted! ☝🏻

📸 Viewpoints – The most beautiful spot is definitely the path that goes to the right around the lake. The official viewing platform isn’t ideal, as the high-mounted information board (with mountain names) actually blocks the lake view, so photos taken there aren’t...

Il Lago di Carezza è uno di quei luoghi che sembrano usciti da una leggenda… e in effetti, lo è davvero! Conosciuto anche come Lec de Ergobando – il “lago dell’arcobaleno” – questo specchio d’acqua incastonato tra i boschi dell’Alto Adige regala emozioni uniche in ogni stagione.

🌈 Colori che incantano Le sfumature dell’acqua cambiano continuamente, passando dal verde smeraldo al blu profondo, riflettendo le cime del Latemar come in un dipinto. Il momento migliore per ammirarlo? Le prime ore del mattino o il tramonto, quando la luce accarezza la superficie e tutto sembra sospeso nel tempo.

🥾 Passeggiata rilassante Il sentiero che circonda il lago è semplice, adatto a tutti, anche con bambini o passeggini da trekking. In circa 30-40 minuti si può fare il giro completo, con numerose panchine per fermarsi ad ammirare il panorama. Lungo il percorso si trovano anche pannelli informativi e scorci perfetti per scattare foto da cartolina.

🚗 Servizi e accessibilità Il parcheggio a pagamento è comodo e ben organizzato, collegato al lago tramite un sottopassaggio. Nelle vicinanze ci sono bar, negozi di souvenir, servizi igienici e anche un piccolo ponte sospeso che offre una vista suggestiva. Tutto è pensato per rendere la visita piacevole e accessibile.
