San Bartolomeo al Mare is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Imperia in the Italian region Liguria, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) southwest of Genoa and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northeast of Imperia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,068 and an area of 10.9 square kilometres (4.2 sq mi).

Very nice and beaches here, for all the tastes. Free beaches and also private ones, the only problem is the lack of sand and not so nice entrances in water due to many stones. We found a perfect zone with free beach with small, fine stones however smooth water entrance and with sand inside. Wir wohnen gerne in Deglio und fahren runter zum Strand in San Bartolome. Dieses Jahr waren wir gezwungen in der Hauptsaison zu kommen. Das ist nicht zu empfehlen! Es ist unvorstellbar voll, aber am schlimmsten ist die italienische Gepflogenheit morgens ein Lager aufzubauen und dann erstmal frühstücken zu gehen. Der Strand ist um 09:00 Uhr bereits zu 99% belegt aber es sind nur 60% Leute vor Ort. Mittags wiederholt sich das Spiel und manche Handtücher sind für 4 Stunden verwaist. Handtuch werfen auf italienisch! Aaaber, das Meer ist wunderbar, das Wasser klar und erfrischend. Wir lieben Italien, besonders Ligurien, sind gerne hier und genießen den Urlaub.
