Unfortunately it's wasn't the best experience for us. We came earlier, but we were the last to get served. Each wine served was explained properly, but the amount of wine for each glass wasn't the same for everybody. The food was nice, but it came after the glass of wine was served, without any explanation of what we were eating We had the tasting of 4 wines.. all served in the same glass, which we understood if we were going from a white to a red, but the last one was a vinsanto, which is a completely different wine and was completely ruined by the taste of the preceding one (they were served next to the paper glass for the water). It looks like a beautiful place, the wine is not the best (the tasting wasn't expensive, so we understood that we didn't get the best wines), it's too bad that it was a very unpersonal experience. We felt more like a number than customers. We chose this winery due to its great reviews, but it wasn't the case for us. We previously visited 3 other wineries, more expensive but...
Read moreMy family was in Tuscany, driving to Rome, and we decided to do a wine tour in Tuscany, on the way.
Of all the wineries I researched, this one was the only one that had a full lunch.
This was probably the best meal I have had since arriving to Europe, hands down. The food was AMAZING.
We received a complementary glass of sparkling wine. We were then served bruschetta, 2 cheese/antipasto platters of sorts (we don't eat pork, and they accommodated that), a plate of (very delicious) pasta, and a desert. Plus the 3 glasses of the wine tastings.
Again, the food was really good. The wine, platters, pasta, and desert were very good.
This was 100% worth every penny I spent on this, which wasn't too much, imo.. I would recommend this wine tour to anyone who would be in the area. Between the service, view, wine, and food, it's been one of the best experiences I've had in Italy.
Also, the washrooms were clean ;)

Read moreI went here today with my family and was utterly disappointed. I opted for "chic nic" package, which promises a picnic and tour of vineyards and cellar. I paid 120 euros for 3 people and at first the staff only provided me with food and drinks for two people, after repeated phone calls, I got some food (not enough to make up but okay) an hour later. On top of this, I got NO tour of the vineyard and cellar, which was the selling point of the whole experience for me and my family (the reason the staff gave me was that they were swamped with guests and would give me the tour later, guess what later never came). The staff wasn't attentive and really lacked coordination.
To make up for this chaos they gave me a sample of their wine to take home, but that couldn't make up for the sub par service they provided throughout the day. The location is beautiful and the view of San Gimignano is great from the property but the service isn't up...
