My partner and I visited Palazzo Montanari for a wine tasting experience whilst in Verona last weekend. Whilst we expected great wine and a tour of the winery, what we got was so much more! We started with a tour of the vines and then moved inside learning about the amazing history of the grand estate. Our tour was perfect and we were in awe of the beauty of the whole place! After this we sat in the shade on the gorgeous court yard and had a tasting of four of their beautiful wines. We also sampled their wonderful home made Olive oil with a generous platter of bread, cheeses and cold meats! Yes!! I almost want to keep this special piece of heaven to myself, but to share I must! The owner, Susanna, went out of her way to greet us in her warm and welcoming manner before we set off for a lovely adventure with Valentina.

She shared with us the vibrant history of the palace, and her knowledge about both the wine and olive oil is extensive. After our tour she explained the considerable renovation that the owner chose to complete, in order to save the history of the palace, which is superbly done throughout.
