Spiaggia di Contrada Foggia — Attraction in Sciacca

One of the best beaches I have traveled to—highly recommended. The beach is sandy and has a lot of unique characteristics in different areas. Some parts of the beach were really shallow, but after navigating around the rocks in the middle of the water, it got deeper and pleasantly cool, even in the middle of summer. The only thing to watch out for is the Greenhead horse fly, which is most commonly found from late June to August and lives in coastal marshes...

Went in early January. Cafes are closed at this time of the year. We had a picnic and it was lovely. Beach was quite dirty, people leaving behind...
