Sormano Astronomical Observatory — Attraction in Sormano

Most of the reviews for this place are for La Colma di Sormano and should be separated to it's own place, IMO. This place, the Astronomical Observatory of Sormano is a very small building at the top of the hill. You should call ahead or check the schedule as I believe it's only open one Sunday per month. The view must be very good from this vantage point 1000+ meters above sea level. Trovato aperto una domenica pomeriggio di marzo. È da sempre che mi sarebbe piaciuto visitarlo e finalmente c'è l'ho fatta!!! È vero, basterebbe visitarne il sito per sapere i giorni di apertura, ma il caso è stato più emozionante!! Ingresso a 5€ come contributo che comprende breve introduzione all'osservatorio e spiegazione base dello spazio, sistema solare e satelliti naturali e artificiali, possibilità di vedere e toccare materiale extraterrestre e possibilità di scegliere una foto tra alcune foto spaziali (in tutti i sensi) scattate anche dallo stesso osservatorio. Ovviamente poi la possibilità di poter vedere tramite il telescopio l'immenso universo. Io ho ammirato la luna come non mi era mai capitato. Lo consiglio vivamente sia a chi è appassionato di spazio, ma anche a chi non lo è, poiché a chiunque è sicuramente capitato almeno una volta di guardare il cielo con curiosità.
