Visiting Biondi Winery in Sicily was the unforgettable highlight of our trip to Italy. It came highly recommended by a friend from the Bay Area and a sommelier in Rome. Steph quickly responded to my last-minute What’s App request and was able to accommodate us same day for a private tasting and tour.

Ciro shared the history of his family’s vineyard as we walked through their vineyard. The experience was made even more enjoyable by the presence of their adorable and friendly dogs!

The tour concluded with a delicious spread of snacks and a tasting. Steph and Ciro's warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality made the visit truly special. Their passion for winemaking and hospitality was evident, making this experience a dream come true for us.

Biondi Winery was the highlight of our Italian adventure, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Sicily. To top it off, Steph and Ciro provided us with excellent dining recommendations for Taormina and Palermo, enhancing our trip...

Visiting Biondi was definitely one of the highlights of our Sicily trip. The tour of their gorgeous vineyards, the tasting of their wines with some lovely local products, and meeting Steph and Ciro Biondi and their dogs was not just fun but also educational. Visiting Biondi is very different from visiting some of the larger commercial Etna wineries with their huge case production and slick staff - here you get to meet the winery owners and learn about their wines and their experience first hand, and taste their small production exquisitely crafted wines. We vastly preferred not just their wines but also the entire experience, and their wines are so well priced and so is the visit - if you are going to visit an Etna winery, this is the one! If you are a dog person, meeting their 4 adorable dogs is an added bonus; and if you are not, fear not - you are always asked when making a reservation for your visit, and the dogs come out to greet only those guests who say they ok...

My husband and I recently moved to Sicily and have been determined to visit as many wineries/vineyards around Etna for wine tastings. Palmento Biondi was by far the most relaxing and intimate experience. Stephanie and Ciro are so accommodating, sweet and truly treat you like family. We started with a tour of the vineyards on site, which were beautiful and expansive. Then it was time for our wine tasting and light snacks. Stephanie and Ciro did a great job explaining each wine, including the region it came from and the Biondi history started by Ciro’s grandfather. Each wine was unique and delicious. They also make their own olive oil, which was one of a kind. We loved meeting Spoty and Lupa, their cute pups. We’re already planning our next visit because we can’t wait to go back!

We had the most wonderful experience with Stephanie and Ciro when we took a tour of their vineyard! This was our first trip to Italy and this was one of the best things we did while we were there. We loved every minute of it…from the tour of the property, the family history, learning about the different varietals they produce, the intimate wine tasting with their amazing wines, delicious charcuterie and their sweet dogs making us feel right at home! I would highly recommend booking a tour if you are near their vineyard! Stephanie and Ciro were fabulous hosts and I certainly hope we make it back to see them again!
