Acquapark — Attraction in Unione dei comuni Savena-Idice

Molto bene! We were a little uncertain whether an aquapark out in the sticks would deliver, but the Villaggio delta salute più was perfect for a day out with 2 boys aged 9 and 12. There is a great mix and variety of different pools for all ages. The slides are great fun and work for kids over 1.20m. All the staff we met were pleasant to deal with and took their job seriously.

If there was anything we thought was lacking, it is a pool where one can jump in or dive in from the side. Our kids love jumping into water.

Food was easily available and of an OK standard. We didnt try the restaurant buffet but are from one of the smaller cafes.

The agritourism and spa themes give the place a nice feel and the surroundings in the hills south of Bologna were fantastic. It feels slightly less touristy than most aquaparks we have visited.

One tip English speakers may miss. The Italian version of the website has information about a shuttle bus from Bologna Centrale to the park. Book your ticket online for €10 per person return. Then show your bus ticket at the parks ticket office to get a €5 discount on the entry ticket.

Both boys would love to come back here again - and we grown ups would also come again given...

Acquapark è ormai un appuntamento fisso di rientro, nel mio caso, da Riccione; una sorta di decompressione necessaria per fare sì che corpo e mente, traghettino dalla calda sabbia sotto i piedi, ai bollenti asfalti di città, in modo meno traumatico. Immerso in uno splendido contesto verde collinare, a 20 minuti di una bellissima strada dall'uscita di Castel San Pietro, è un parco dove perdersi tra ombrelloni di paglia, poltrone a sacco, e sdraio, e decine di piscine d'acqua termale, da scoprire sui pendii. Non mancano un discreto taboga, due simpatici scivoli a tubo, da scendere con appositi canottini, dopo essere risaliti con un tapirulan, lento, ma almeno, riposante. Al suo lato, un'altro tapirulan ancora più bello, dove girarsi e rigirarsi per gustare il panorama e salire ancor più su, lasciando scarponi, caschi e sci, ancora per qualche mese, parcheggiati nei garage! Bellissima la piscina a sfioro in cima alla collina, con piccole anse in cui cullarsi con le onde artificiali che ogni tanto, si attivano. Incuriosiscono i piccoli bungalow dove potersi sdraiare e ricoprirsi di sale grosso, per purificare e pulire la pelle; vasche idromassaggio ovunque, e sdraio per potersi rilassare. Zone dedicate ai bambini più piccoli e un boschetto dove camminare, tra gli spruzzi piuttosto prevedibili ma che sapranno fare sorridere soprattutto i più piccoli, e che partono al passaggio qua e là. Affascinanti le serate (da controllare quando) con aperitivi all'imbrunire, o serate fino a tarda ora rimanendo immersi nella vasca (purtroppo solo la provinciale) tra colori e suggestioni. Vari punti di ristoro, anche se, qualità del cibo (panini, pizzette ecc) appena sufficiente, e dal costo stile "autogrill". Peccato...piuttosto veniale. Un luogo davvero speciale, dove magari soprassedere su alcune mancanze di cura e trascuratezza degli impianti e di taluni angoli del parco. Piuttosto costoso l'ingresso (meglio informarsi rispetto ai periodi, e "pomeridiano" dopo le 13:45). All'esterno ottimo spazio parcheggio, anche a pagamento. A fine giornata, la decompressione...

Wonderful place, very spacious, lots of free seating. Everything was well maintained and clean. Loved the bean bag seating at the top of the hill. There is a small escalator but when I say small, I mean it. It’s was helpful but hard to stand on. Food available but you can take your own. Pack a lock if you don’t want to carry your things with you, leave them safety in the changing rooms. Parking is also free, you can pay for sheltered parking if you need it. We had a great time here only comment would be to install something to help make the escalator more...
