Ravazzi Cantine Snc — Attraction in Unione dei Comuni Valdichiana Senese

Ravazzi was a wonderful, accidental find for us on our drive in November 2023 from Orvieto to Montepulciano. We had never heard of this winery, but happened to spot it as we drove through Palazzone. It was still early in the day around 10am, but we stopped intending to take just a brief look around.

The grandson of the founder was working and kindly showed us around and offered us a taste of the wine. We intended to just have a sip and then quickly get back on our way, but it was one exceptional taste after another so we lost complete track of time. This accidental find became our favorite winery visits during our extended stay in Italy. What wonderful wine at an excellent price.

A small group of us went on a Sunday afternoon for a tasting. Literally some of the best wines I have had in Italy and I’ve lived here for almost 5 years. Make reservations a day in advance for the meat and cheese plate. All the wines were delicious and so reasonably priced.
