This is a really cool place! It’s a bit hard to reach from Bergamo if you don’t have a car, but not impossible. There’s quite a large variety of animals, some of them in really nice habitats (like the exotic birds). There are many restaurants and places where you can eat your own food, even some playgrounds for kids. There’s a train that takes you around the place and it costs €2. It was not very crowded when we arrived, but we visited on a Saturday at 5PM. By the way, the ticked is €18 if you arrive 3 hours before closing (and 3 hours is more than enough if you don’t have young children).

Indeed, some spaces are small for the animals (like the elephants, rhinos, or the big cats) and they looked quite sad. Not necessarily not cared for, but a bit depressy.

In my opinion, it’s a really cool place, with lots of animals and if you visit Bergamo, it’s definitely not...

I found the park improved a lot compared 10 years ago...long ago I remember tigers being kept in little cages now space seems much bigger. It is sad though to look at the animals like that. I do believe carnivore animals should not be kept in cages...it is against their nature. If someone would keep me in a cage I would go mad. So I went there with my son but I would not going there again cause is too depressing. The bear looked gloom, the tiger crazy and the monkeys extremely sad. Some people was even imitating them...which the 🐒 thought cruel, well to me it was. It is like bullying someone so sad.....I wish they would turn the whole thing in a drive in park instead. It would look less sad on my opinion....but I guess anything that man touches looks like less natural, fake. So probably we should just learn to look at animals in books as...

Servizi igienici sempre puliti. Consiglio a tutti di visitare Le...

This is what it used to be called a zoo. They have a new fancy name for it, but it's basically a lot of animals in cages. The ones in the new areas (e.g. the rhinos and zebra) are lucky and have a good habitat with plenty of space. The older ones (e.g. the hippos) have a little more than a paddling pool and a bit of grass. The number of animals is good and the place is really well kept. There are no "feeding times", not even for penguins or seals. There are plenty of bars or restaurants or other places to eat, so no need to bring your own, but if you do there are also places to have a picnic indoors or outdoors. It's very very quiet outside holiday time, but very very busy in July and August. A nice place to spend a good day out with kids... As long as they are interested in animals, obviously.

I've been to many famous zoo parks across the world. This is one of the best in terms of quality of animals' life. To me it's the most important thing. It's not about "how many kinds of monkeys or birds does the zoo have". It's about their living conditions, how healthy and clean they are. I can honestly say that I was happy to see that this park has invested a lot of money in it. The animals look healthy and live in a relatively large spaces. No cages! I was also surprised to see bengal tigers, lions, leopards, cheetas, cougars, snow leopards - all in pairs. It's an impressive quantity given how much does it cost to keep them. So, my personal respects to the owners and sponsors of this park - please keep up the good work.
