Ā Ā Ā Read moreHere you can get all the local fruits and vegetables you can think of (ask if its local, uf thats what you want). You can also save a bit and get a bit fresher produce there (compared to the supermarkets). You can also negotiate prices, especially when you are purchasing multiple items or alot of an item from one vendor. Budget around 5000 for produce that can last up to a week and a half, for two people.
The closer you are to the inside of the market building the better the prices. Additionally the earlier you go, the better the selection there is.
Go as early as possible (5:30 am - 6 am on a Saturday), there will be people there and less sun as it can get really hot.
The negatives of the market are that, it is not organized and alot of the produce aren't local. It is also not the cleanest space and you have to be a bit careful with valuables (leave them at home) as there are pick pockets in the market. There is also an issue with parking close to the market, but paid, somewhat secure parking is available about a 7 minutes walk away (if you have heavy bags this will be hard). Otherwise you can park to the side of the street closest...
