🇯🇲 Devon House Bakery – A Must-Visit in Kingston! ☕🍰 If you’re ever in Kingston, Jamaica, make sure to stop by Devon House Bakery a cozy, welcoming spot that blends tradition, taste, and tranquility in the best way. 🫖 Here’s what makes it special: • ✅ Great Coffee & Mint Tea, Perfectly brewed and flavorful. • 🥕 I had the carrot cake and let me tell you, it was moist, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. Highly recommend it with a hot drink. • 🌿 Wide Selection of Natural Teas & Herbal Remedies. From Jamaican soursop to lemongrass, they offer something for every health-conscious soul. • 🥐 Fresh Baked Pastries, Warm, flaky, and comforting. • 🧃 Refreshing Natural Drinks – We enjoyed: • Coconut jelly water • Netty’s Farm Kombucha (Turmeric Ginger Lime) • Ice-cold spring water and fresh juices 🙌 Special shoutout to our waitress Aaliyah, she was warm, attentive, and truly a great hostess. Her service made the entire experience even more enjoyable! 🍨 Bonus Stop: Don’t miss Devon House I-Scream, right next door! Legendary Jamaican ice cream in mouth-watering flavors like: • Rum & Raisin • Devon Stout • Mango • Guava • Grape Nut • Crunchie Munchie 🍦 🍗 Hungry for more? The Jerk Box on the property serves up authentic jerk chicken, jerk pork, and fried fish with cold beer and big flavor. 🛍️ Wrap it up with a visit to their gift shop featuring local teas, spices, and Jamaican made natural remedies. 💡 Whether you’re looking for a relaxing breakfast, a sweet treat, or cultural vibes Devon House is a top-tier experience. 📍 Add it to your Kingston travel list. You won’t regret it!

If there was a way to give 10 stars on a Google review, this place would get 12, in my level 6 reviewers book. I was born in Jamaica, West Indies and Devon house is, and has always been one of my favorite places to go. It was one of my favorite dating spots that I only took someone who I really special to me. It was a place that I treated myself, as well as a place where I could hang with family members or take my nieces and nephews for a special treat. Devon house has seen quite a few changes over the years by the experience. Each time I visit left me with a feeling of satisfaction -always. My wife and I visited Devon house when we were dating and every time we visit Jamaica together we try to go back at least once during the trip. Devyn house is historic. It’s a place that you can not only get ice cream but you can also dine there. If you have kids you can take them to hang out in the new area created for kids to play and if you want to take some really good pictures with your love ones Devyn house is a great backdrop. I think it’s one of the best spots that Kingston Jamaica has to offer and it’s a place that will always give me a warm feeling. Just recently, I thought how great it would be if I was able to bring that same Devon house experience to a place in the United States where Jamaicans living in the Diaspora could enjoy.

I’m going to give 4 stars but before I give the reason why I loveeee the ice cream omg soo good I love the family settings place is nice would go over and over again every time I visit. The reason for my 4 stars now is because you guys are very serious with the covid 6ft distance and hand sanitizing and security just on our backs watching making sure our mask is on etc. but I was very appalled by the workers NOT having on any gloves when scooping out our ice cream that’s very not sanitary you guys are trying to stop the spread of covid doing you guys part but the works don’t have it wear any gloves you guys need to fix that ASAP we don’t know if those workers are washing there hands I was just disgusted there I didn’t even want my ice cream but I watched and saw when me and my fiance got our cones it was a brand new batch being opened but Devon’s house please have your workers wear gloves but other than that I lovedddd my time there. Everyone from around the world should visit and try there ice cream .

I'm still in awe and disbelief that it took me over 2 days to write this review. I went there on Saturday to purchase 2 curry goat patties and there was a sign on the door regarding mask mandate, which I didn't have a problem with except for the fact that I didn't have any mask. Saw a white guy just strolled pass me, entered went into the fridge and proceeded to the cashier. So I was like oh well, maybe I can go in after all, immediately as I entered I was told that I needed a mask, so I pointed out that the guy before me wasn't wearing one as well. She repeated it to me a second time, to which I pointed out again that the other guy wasn't wearing a mask either. He immediately became irate saying that she was giving him a "bly" and how I ruined it for him, to which I replied "I don't care, what goes for one should go for the other". Standing confused and not sure how to react that's when she eventually turned to him and said "sir you need a mask". There was a white couple inside and when we stepped out, they offered to give him a mask and I'm saying to myself, this damn cashier is so stuck in her mental slavery days as a cotton picker who converted to a house slave that she refused to assist one of her own and look what they're doing. That's not even the point, the main issue was that she was unwilling to split justice right across the board but instead was willing to turn me away, the person who was spending more just to help a white guy like a star struck fool. I was so livid about the entire experience and it was my 1st time going. Luckily I hand a handkerchief to wear but I literally have second hand embarrassment for that cashier, like really in 2022???!!! You...

Wonderful place to visit if you're on the island of Jamaica.

The great house is definitely something to see. There are one or two things that are not period to the original tenants furnishings, but they actually help paint a picture of the years between their residency to today. The Tour guide;,a lady whom I apologise for not taking her name to offer a proper mention here, was absolutely awesome. She interacted with the three of us (luckily a ,small group of two German ladies and myself) allowing us also to ask questions which she very competently answered

Dining. I had the fortune of traveling there twice; the great house was closed to filming on the day prior, so I chose to dine at the the pizzeria (to experience pizzas done in Jamaica) with a thin tasty stonebaked-like crust, this did not disappoint. They were a very accommodating and friendly team there and my particular waitress; another lady whom I apologise for not asking her name to also offer a mention, was very personable.

Finally;,one cannot go to Devon House without experiencing the famed Devon House Ice cream.

In two words; ''deliciously moreish" with ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s of their own. Options are available for a two scoop waffle cone; I recommend making one of these the famed Devon Stout flavour. (on each day my second scoop was (Day 1) Pralines n Cream and(Day 2) Pistachio flavour) which for a little extra, I had coated in frozen chocolate (really handy to reduce it melting too fast)

Overall experience;a well deserved 5 stars.

So; whether you're visiting the island, or just a local islander looking for an afternoon out; why not give the Devon House experience a...
