Folly Great house was a grand mansion built about a hundred years ago by an American heir. He built it in such a hurry that he so pressured the workers that they used sea sand to mix the concrete. When the lady came to Jamaica to see their would be love nest it had already started to fall apart as a result of the sea sand used in it's construction. The house or rather it's ruins are real. Do keep in mind the road up there is a bit rough and probably not best to do in a small car especially a rental. We visited and only explored the area for about 15 minutes.
